Prices are per person based on double occupancy. Pricing for single, triple and quad occupancy is available. A deposit of $100 per person is due upon reservation and is refundable up to final payment. Cancellation insurance is available at final payment. Balance is due by August 5, 2021 and trip becomes nonrefundable at that time. After August 5, 2021, space is based on availability. Please note: The historic National Hotel does not have an elevator and most guest rooms will be on the second and third floors. There is also a limited number of guest rooms available with two beds. Morning: Boarding at AAA Northway’s Halfmoon Office located at 1647 Route 9 at 7:00 am. A morning rest stop will be made in route. Dining is on your own. Arrive and enjoy free time for lunch and shopping at Newport’s Brick Marketplace. Afternoon: Enjoy a guided tour of historic Newport, RI. Enter the world of Vanderbilts, Astors and the wealthiest of gilded age tycoons as you travel Newport's fabulous Bellevue Avenue, peppered with stunning mansions and gardens. After, visit Newport’s Marble House, the home of Mr. and Mrs. William K. Vanderbilt Enjoy a self guided audio tour of this grand mansion including its Chinese Tea House built on the seaside cliffs. Evening: Check into the Hampton Inn in Coventry, Rhode Island for a one night stay. Dinner on your own this evening at the hotel’s adjacent Applebee’s or Cracker Barrel Restaurant.
Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Check out, board coach and depart for Point Judith, RI the Block Island Ferry. Enjoy a scenic ferry cruise from Point Judith to Block Island. Magnificent scenic beauty surrounds you as you cruise from Point Judith, Rhode Island out into the beautiful Block Island Sound. Afternoon: Upon arrival, check into the historic National Hotel located across from the ferry landing for a two night stay. This historic hotel in the center of downtown Old Harbor offers a great vantage point for sightsee around the island. Relax and enjoy lunch on your hotel’s grand front porch, overlooking the water including New England Clam Chowder served with your choice of Pan Seared Chicken Breast, Pasta Pomodori or Grilled Salmon and Apple Rum Cobbler for dessert. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to relax and/or explore this island paradise at your leisure. Visit the eclectic Old Harbor village shops, relax at your hotel or take a stroll on the beach. Evening: Enjoy dinner on your hotel’s grand front porch including Lobster Bisque, Bistro Salad, and your choice of Filet Mignon, Pan Seared Swordfish or Lobster Fettuccine and Key Lime Pie for dessert.
Morning: Hot buffet breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy a guided Block Island Lighthouses and Lobster Lunch Bus Tour. View the islands’ pristine sandy beaches, quaint inns, fishing villages, scenic views of North Lighthouse (1867) and a visit to Southeast Lighthouse (1873) for panoramic island views including Mohegan Bluffs jutting 200 feet above the sea. Afternoon: Tour concludes as you relax on your hotel’s grand front porch and enjoy a Lobster Roll Lunch. Landlubbers options are available and include Fish and Chips, Cheeseburger or Chicken Quesadilla. The afternoon is yours to relax and continue exploring this island paradise at your leisure. Morning: Hot buffet breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, relax at your hotel, sightsee, take a stroll on the beach and have lunch on your own at your hotel or in the village, prior to your mid-afternoon ferry departure. Afternoon: Meet your AAA Escort and board the 3:00 pm ferry for our cruise back to the mainland. Upon return, board our coach and depart for home. A dinner/rest stop will be made in route. Dining is on your own. Evening: Arrival back at AAA Northway’s Halfmoon Office at 8:30 pm.
