Prices are per person based on double occupancy. Pricing for single and triple occupancy is available. A deposit of $100 per person is due upon reservation and is refundable up to final pay date. Cancellation insurance is available at final payment. Balance is due by May 5, 2024 and trip becomes nonrefundable at that time. After May 5, 2024, space is based on availability. Day One - Thursday, July 18, 2024

Morning: Boarding coach at the Home Depot in Clifton Park located at 4 Halfmoon Crossing at 7:00 am. A morning rest stop will be made in route. Dining is on your own. Afternoon: Arrive in Portland, Maine for lunch on your own in this city’s historic, waterfront district. Next, enjoy a guided Portland, Maine Tour including views of Henry Wadsworth‘s boyhood home, the Victorian Mansion, historic Portland Headlight and hear the history of the Old Port and more. Enjoy an inclusive dinner tonight in route to your hotel. Evening: Check into the Hampton Inn located in Bangor, Maine for a one night stay. 

Day Two - Friday, July 19, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Afternoon: Arrive in St. John, Known as the “Loyalist City” for free time for lunch on your own at the St. John City Market National Historic Site, the oldest continuing farmer’s market in Canada, housed in a rare and distinguished surviving example of a 19th century building designed as a market. Travel along the shoreline to the amazing Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park for a guided visit. An amazing icon, these flowerpot-shaped rocks were carved by the Fundy tides and rise twice a day up to 4-stories high. Evening: Check into the Hampton Inn Moncton in Moncton, New Brunswick and for a one night stay. Dinner is included at hotel.

Day Three - Saturday, July 20, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Depart for Baddeck, Nova Scotia in the heart of Cape Breton Island. The town is considered the beginning and end of the world-famous Cabot Trail and stretches along the shores of the beautiful Bras d'Or Lake. Afternoon: Visit the quaint and historic seaside town of Pictou, NS. Experience the historic Scottish architecture, museums, restaurants, shops and friendly people. Lunch on your own while in the village. Check into the Silver Dart Lodge in Baddeck, NS on the shore of the magnificent Bras d’Or Lakes for a two night stay. Evening: Enjoy an inclusive dinner tonight at the hotel. After dinner, enjoy this beautiful property and the stunning lake views. 

Day Four - Sunday, July 21, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel. Depart on a guided tour to explore the Cabot Trail and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. This panoramic drive features picturesque vistas of vast skies above and open seas below. Circle the northern part of the island, where the seaside settlements and craggy shoreline evoke images of the Scottish Highlands. 

Afternoon: While on tour, enjoy a picnic boxed lunch in the pastoral grandeur of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Stop at Flora’s Gift Shop in Cheticamp, nestled on the northwest coast of Cape Breton, and well known for its French Acadian culture and deep-rooted traditions, one of which is rug hooking which is prominently displayed here. Return back to the hotel in the late afternoon to rest and relax. Evening: The evening is at leisure to enjoy dinner on your own at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day Five - Monday, July 22, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Board coach and depart for Halifax, NS. Afternoon Free time for lunch, shopping and sightseeing in downtown Halifax, filled with shops, eateries and grand views. Next, a Halifax Guided Tour awaits. See the lovely Victorian Public Gardens. Hear the amazing story of the Halifax explosion and learn the city’s role in the recovery operations of the Titanic. View historic downtown, the waterfront, the Citadel, St. Paul’s Church, universities and more. Check into the Best Western Chocolate Lake Hotel for a two night stay. Enjoy this beautiful property located on tranquil Chocolate Lake. Enjoy some time to change and refresh before heading to dinner. Evening: Enjoy an evening at Halifax’s Grafton Street Dinner Theater for dinner and a light hearted musical comedy.

Day Six - Tuesday, July 23, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Guided visit to Peggy’s Cove, the most picturesque fishing village on the eastern seaboard. Free time to explore this working fishing village, browse the gift and craft shops, and take photos of its iconic lighthouse. Afternoon: Visit the historic village of Old Town Lunenburg, a UNESCO world heritage site for a walking tour including the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic wharves, Fishermen’s Wharf, Fishermen’s monument, Zwicker property, Barque Picton Castle berth, Dory Shop, Twin Schooner project, Shipyard Alliance, Bluenose II restoration, Ironworks Distillery and much more. Free time for lunch on own in Lunenburg’s scenic maritime village. Evening: Enjoy an inclusive dinner this evening in Halifax, NS, prior to returning to the hotel.

 

Day Seven - Wednesday, July 24, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Depart and enjoy a scenic drive to Digby, NS along the Evangeline Trail, passing through farmlands of the Annapolis Valley. Board the MV Fundy Rose and relax and enjoy a ferry cruise from Digby, Nova Scotia to St. John, New Brunswick. Afternoon: Lunch today is on your own while on board the Digby Ferry. Visit St. John’s Reversing Falls to view a unique phenomenon. It is here that at low tide, the Saint John’s River empties into the Bay of Fundy and the underwater river shelfs cause a series of rapids and whirlpools to form. Evening: Enjoy a Maine Lobster Dinner at Maine’s famed Helen’s Restaurant. Don’t forget to save room for pie. Check into the Hampton Inn in Bangor, ME for a one night stay. 

 

Day 8 - Thursday, July 25, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Afternoon: Visit to the quaint village of Kennebunkport, Maine. Enjoy Dock Square’s array of unique shops and restaurants clustered along the picturesque waterfront and have lunch at leisure on your own. Board coach and depart for home at 3:00 pm. A dinner stop will be made in route. Dining is on your own. Evening: Arrival back at the Home Depot in Clifton Park at 8:00 pm.
