Stroll the flower-filled gardens and grand mansion of the Victorian era country estate of Sonnenburg Gardens. Discover an American Legacy, the aviation and motorcycling pioneer Glenn H. Curtiss in his hometown of Hammondsport. Thanks to the moderating influence of the lakes’ waters and unique texture of the area’s loose, shale-filled soil, grapes like Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc are cultivated to perfection. Join us and share in the bounty of New York’s splendid wine country.

Prices are per person based on double occupancy. Pricing for single and triple occupancy is available. A deposit of $100 per person is due upon reservation and is refundable up to final pay date. Cancellation insurance is available. Balance is due by March 5, 2024 and trip becomes nonrefundable at that time. After March 5, 2024, space is based on availability. Itinerary is subject to change. Day One - Sunday, May 5, 2024

Morning: Boarding at the Home Depot located at 4 Halfmoon Crossing in Clifton Park at 7:30 AM. Morning rest stop in route to New York’s Finger Lakes Region. Dining is on your own. Arrive at Cayuga Lake’s Knapp Winery in Romulus. The only winery east of the Mississippi to grow the Austrian grape for Siegerrebe. Enjoy a wine tasting followed by lunch their Field and Vine Restaurant. Afternoon: Visit Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park. Enjoy a guided stroll through its flower-filled gardens, and enjoy its extraordinary collections of period architecture, garden statuary, themed gardens of the world including a Japanese Garden and Teahouse, and a Lord & Burnham Greenhouse Complex. After the garden tour, visit the Victorian era mansion and enjoy a wine tasting in the Visitors Center. Evening: Enjoy an inclusive dinner this evening, prior to arriving at the hotel. Check into the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Geneva Finger Lakes for a two-night stay. Baggage handing is included.


Day Two - Monday, May 6, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel. A Vineyard Afternoon awaits at Bully Hill Vineyards in Hammondsport. The tour and tasting experience at Bully Hill is one of the most unique in Finger Lakes. It begins with a walking tour of the estate followed by a tasting extravaganza. Leaving the visitor center your guide will elaborate on the exceptional history of Bully Hill’s founder - Walter S. Taylor. Afternoon: Enjoy lunch included at the Bully Hill Restaurant that features an innovative cuisine and breathtaking view of Keuka Lake. Arrive to the Glenn H Curtiss Museum where you can view dozens of vintage motorcycles and planes. Learn about Curtiss’s many contributions as a motorcycle and aviation pioneer, as well as his generous spirit which fortified his reputation with locals: generating a profound respect that is still prevalent throughout the community. Visit to the Great Western Winery, New York’s oldest winery in the Finger Lakes region. Established in 1860, the winery proudly displays the designation U.S. Bonded Winery No. 1 and has eight remarkable stone buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Tour through the world-renowned Great Western Winery Visitor Center which includes historic exhibits, winemaking displays, a working model of the B&H Railroad and a unique Theatre-in-a-Wine-Tank. Enjoy a wine tasting after touring. Evening: Return to the hotel to refresh and relax. Dinner this evening is on your own at a nearby restaurant.

Day Three - Tuesday, May 7, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Visit Ventosa Vineyards one of the newest wineries in the Finger Lakes located on the northeast shore of Seneca Lake. Ventosa, the Italian word meaning "windy", offers a unique Tuscan setting which brings the ambiance of Tuscany to the Finger Lakes. The friendly atmosphere, premium wine tasting and breathtaking view of Seneca Lake provides an experience you will be sure to enjoy and remember. Afternoon: Visit the historic village of Skaneateles Lake and stroll among the quaint shops situated along the lake's northern shore and have lunch on your own at one of the village’s many restaurants including Doug’s Fish Fry, Johnny Angels Heavenly Burgers, Blue Water Grill, Lakehouse Pub and the Sherwood Inn. Visit Anyela’s Vineyards in Skaneateles, NY and enjoy one last wine tasting! The story of Anyela’s began three generations ago in Eastern Europe and continues today on the hillside high above Skaneateles Lake, as the family combines its viticultural experience with the cooler climate patterns and fertile soil to grow select grapes and develop fine wines. Depart for home at 4:15 pm. Evening: A rest/dinner stop in route with an arrival back in Clifton Park at 8:00 pm.
